Caries 2 Flashcards

1
Q

what is the acidogenic theory

Q

The stephan curve shows

A

That it takes 1-3 mins for ph to fall below 5 . and 30-60 mins for it to return to normal fluoridated enamel demineralises at PH 4.5 and non fluoridated enamel will demineralise at PH 5.5. Repeated falls of ph in the mouth causes demineralisation
