Cardiovascular system part 3 Flashcards
Venous Blood flow relies on what?
Breathing movement, skeletal muscle contractions, Direct heart contractions, and vasoconstriction to move.
What is the Venou’s Blood Flow
Blood pressure decreases after moving through capillary network.
What is peripheral resistance?
The friction between blood and the wall of blood vessels. In order for blood to flow properly the blood pressure has to overcome peripheral resistance.
What is Blood Volume?
Blood volume is the sum of formed elements of plasma volume. Blood volume can have a direct impact on blood pressure. If blood volume is low blood pressure will most likely be low too.
Cardiac volume=?
Stroke volume x Heart rate
What does Heart action do?
determines how much blood enters the arterial system with each ventricular contraction.
