A
10 year CVR of 10% or more

Primary prevention of CVD
A
Antihypertensives if raised BP (>140/90)
Lipid lowering therapy (low dose atorvastatin)

Secondary prevention of CVD
A
Antihypertensives Lipid lowering therapy with high intensity statin ( so that reduction in LDL is >40%) Antiplatelet therapy (low dose aspirin) if patient has established atherosclerosis

Monitoring to check at 3 months of starting a statin

Total cholesterol, HDL and non HDL at 3 months of starting
