S1 is closure of mitral and tricuspid heard at the beginning of systole Since it’s closure of mitral and tricuspid it’s heard better in these areas

S2 is closure of aortic and pulmonic valves (semilunar valves) at the beginning of diastole. Heard best over aortic and pulmonic valves
