A
rate control:
1. BB
2. CCB
3. Digoxin
rhythm control:
1. cardioversion
2. BB → dronedarone → amiodarone

What medications are used to anticoagulate AF pts? (2)
A
- DOACs (apixaban, rivaroxaban)
- warfarin (if DOAC CI)

When would AF be treated with rhythm control instead of rate control? (4)
A
- their AF has a reversible cause
- is new onset (<48hrs)
- sx persist despite effective rate control
- the AF has resulted in HF
