Broad complex tachycardia are treated with three treatment options

A

1- if there is no pulse then follow the protocol for ventricular fibrillation / ventricular tachycardia cardiac arrest.
2 – If there is a pulse and patient displays adverse signs, expert help and cardioversion is indicated.
3 – If there are no adverse signs, antiarrhythmic therapy is indicated. E.g. Procainamide, amiodarone, lidocaine.

Blocks re-entry circuits for anti arrhythmic effect.
Depress cardiac contractility via binding to adenosine A1-R. Vasodilatation via binding to low affinity adenosine A2-Rs.
