Cardiac arrest Flashcards
What is the first branching of the cardiac arrest pathway?
is the rythm shockable or not
meaning VT/VF– SHOCK
PEA/Asystole- cant shock
shockable rythm ressuss guidelines
VF/VT
call 2222 CCU/Cardiac arrest
CRP until defibrillator is there
1 shock- 2 min cpr-1shock-2min cpr-1 shock
after 3rd shock if not back give AMIODARONE 300mg and Adrenaline 1mg 1in 10 000 IV
repeat the 2min CPR -shock sequence
with adrenaline every 3-5min (between each alternative shock)
and IV 150 amiodarone after 5th shock
manage in non shock rythm if no improve
assess and correct 4t and 4h of cardiac arrest during
Non-shockable rythm ressus guidelines
call 2222 CCU/Cardiac arrest
PEA/Asytole
CPR until IV acess- then give 1mg adrenaline 1:10 000
then 2min CPR, check
adrenaline repeat each 3-5 mins
get airway acess/protect
go to shockbale if rythm back
or continue
assess and correct 4t and 4h of cardiac arrest during
What are the reversible causes of cardiac arrest
4h and 4t
4h-
Hypothermia, Hypo/hyperkalemia, hypoxia, hypovalemia
4t-
tamponade, tension pneumo, toxins, thrombosis
Post cardiac arrest ressus care
start after ROSC at any point
BP >65
Sodium valporate/seizure control
hypothermia (32-36)
avoid fevers
