Discharge instructions for CABG:

A
  1. Encourage a daily shower. Surgical incisions should not be soaked to have lotion or creams applied to them.
  2. No lifting objects >5lbs, until approved by HCP.
  3. No driving for 4-6 weeks, or until approved by HCP.
  4. If client can walk one block or climb stairs w/o symptoms, usually safe to resume sex.
