Warning: may cause peripheral edema

Warning: avoid grapefruit juice (increases nifedipine), take with food
- dilates vessels; back side of pill has pin hole to release on XL; shell of med leaves via feces.
Nitrostat (SL tabs), Nitrobid (ointment), Nitrodur (patch)

Category: vasodilator
Use: hypertension, angina, CHF
Warnings: take as directed; no erectile dysfunction drugs; for an open SL tab: discard after 6 months, keep in amber vial
Lanoxin
Generic: digoxin
Category: anti-arrhythmic agent, cardiac glycoside
Use: CHF, cardiogenic shock, tachyarrythmia
Warnings: take as directed, consult MD if on other meds, take with or without food consistently; drink oj eat bananas; digoxin toxin= halos
