• Studies found that teachers were quick to discipline black students.
• They often felt picked on and that the teacher underestimated them.
• This led to them to act negatively and more conflict arises.
• Concluded that much of conflict from the white teachers and black pupils stems from racial stereotypes of teachers as oppossed to the pupils actual behaviour.
