Marks for Heavier-than-air Aircraft other than helicopters or gyroplane?
-parallel to longitudinal axis on each side of fuselage
-Height NOT LESS THAN 15cm (5.9in)
-maintaining a margin 5cm (1.970in)
- under the wing must be no less than 50cm (19.68in)
-if not displayed on the wing, longitudinal marks must be not less than 30cm (11.8in)
Marks for Helicopters and gyroplanes?
-height of not less than 15cm (5.9in)
-margin of not less than 5cm (1.970in)
-if not displayed bottom of the surface, must be not less than 30cm (11.8in) in height
Qualifications to be registered owner of a Canadian Aircraft:
-at least 16yrs old
-foreigner can own a private canadian AC providing it meets specific regulations
Types of Registration:
State Aircraft
Commercial
Private
If it is a civil AC that is owned by and exclusively used into service of Government of Canada.
A state aircraft
if the AC is to be operated uder Subpart 2, 3, 4 or 5 CARs Part VII, operated by a flight training unit.
Commercial AC
The minister shall register an aircraft with:
provisional registration
temporary
continuing
interim
Provisional registration
for the purposes of importing or ferrying an aircraft not registered in Canada
Temporary registration
if the documentation, etc. necessary to grant a continuing registration cannot be completed immediately.
Continuing registration
If the documentation etc. can be completed immediately
Interim registration
if the legal custody and control of a Canadian aircraft is transferred and the new owner is qualified to be Canadian owner.
Certificate of registration must be:
carried out on board at all times.
When a Canadian registered aircraft is sold or leased to a person not qualified to be a Canadian owner, the aircraft is being exported, vendor or lessor shall?
Notify minister within 7 days
Importing an aircraft:
If an AC not registered in Canada, no person shall operate it for the purpose of importing it into Canada unless?
If the person obtains PROVISIONAL CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION
Operating a Foreign Aircraft:
no person shall operate a foreign registered aircraft in Canada that has been in Canada for a total of?
more than 90 days or more in preceding 12 months unless the foreign state is a contracting state.
