chest xray is the gold standard! will have “infiltrates”, “opacities” or “consolidations”

What are risk factors for MRSA
or Pseudomonas aeruginosa

A

Having received IV antibiotics within the last 90 days

History of respiratory tract infection: Having a previous lower respiratory tract infection with MRSA or Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Crowded or unsanitary conditions: Living in a jail, child care center, or military training camp

Substance use: Using illicit injected drugs
