Inform ATSU, remember eta from LF is a waypoint so allow another 10 mins
Wake turbulence comms
Caution Wake Turbulence, and any relevant information on aircraft concerned
Minimise turbulence from taxiing helicopters:
Ground taxi helicopters where possible
Don’t air taxi helicopters near taxiways or runways with light a/c ops in progress
Keep other aircraft 3 x rotor diameter away when it’s air taxiing or hovering
Windshear most dangerous at?
0-1500ft
Windshear likely when?
Frontal/thunderstorms
Inversions
Local terrain or buildings impacting the wind
Actions on windshear?
Info relayed to inbound and outbound a/c until confirmed that it no longer exists
Add to watch log
Essential info on conditions?
-Construction or maintenance work
-rough or broken surfaces
-water, snow, slush, ice, frost on movement areas
-anti/de icing chemicals spilled
-snow banks or drifts adjacent to runway
-temporary hazards- a/c parked in the way or ground running, flocks of birds
-failure of any part of the lighting system
-failure of approach aids
Right of way
All vehicles and a/c give way to landing/taking off/taxiing except when in distress emergency vehicles have right of way
A/C or vehicle lost
Provide info to other pilots effected and assist in determining the position
Runway incursion or obstruction
Inform pilot of incursion or obstruction and it’s location on the runway
File a MOR
Visual signals?
