A
- very contagious!
- coughing is the most common CS
- uncomplicated- restrict excerise
- Complicated- restrict excerise, systemic antibiotics, nebularser
- parenteral and intranasal vaccine

A
- Transmitted by: direct contact and fomites
- CS- 2-5 days post exposure- usually results in coughing, sneezing, and a nasal discharge
- Tx- supportive care, NSAIDS

- YOUNGER DOGS IN KENNELS
- Cream colored nodules in the kennels
- CS- coughing, wheezing, and dyspnea
- Tx- fenbendazole and ivermectin

- Middle aged to older dogs
- toy or small breed dogs often obese
- Goose honking cough
- elicited with tracheal palpation
- tx- wt loss, avoid neck collars, avoid excitment

A
- CS- daily cough
- sig- small, older breeds
- TX- Pred, bronchodilators

Bronchiectasis
A
- Secondary to chronic conditions like chronic bronchitis
- mucus can not be cleared so it bulids up
- The dilation of the bronchial tree is irreversible caused by the destruction of the muscle and elastic tissue
- TX- Beta 2- albuterol
