what is the most common presentation of lymphoma?
multicentric
what are the possible presentations of lymphoma?
multicentric, craniomediastinal, gastrointestinal, cutaneous, extra-nodal
what is the main clinical sign of multicentric lymphoma?
generalised lymphadenopathy (other signs relate to the body systems affected)
what are the main clinical signs craniomediastinal lymphoma?
dyspnoea
signs of hypercalcaemia (PUPD, vomiting, tremors…)
what cells form cutaneous epitheliotrophic lymphoma?
T cells
what is the distribution of cutaneous epitheliotrophic lymphoma?
solitary lesions
what cells form cutaneous non-epitheliotrophic lymphoma?
B cells
what is the distribution of cutaneous non-epitheliotrophic lymphoma?
generalised lesions
what paraneoplastic syndromes can be seen with lymphoma?
hypercalcaemia (mediastinal/alimentary)
immune mediated disease (IMHA, IMTP, pemphigus)
neuropathy
cachexia
how are lymphoma diagnosed?
cytology and histopathology
what is the staging system for lymphoma?
- single lymph node or lymphoid organ
- regional lymph node involvement
- generalised lymph node involvement
- hepatic/splenic involvement
- blood, bone marrow or other systems involved
what drugs are used in a high dose COP?
cyclophosphamide, vincristine, prednisolone
