malignant tumours
the tumour cells are able to spread to other parts of the body
metastasis
the spreading of malignant tumours/tumour cells to form secondary tumours in different parts of the body
benign tumours
some tumours aren’t able to invade normal tissues, blood or lymph vessels and dont spread to other parts of body. they can grow and press on surrounding tissues exerting pressure on vital organs, but came spread and are usually easily removed
carcinogens
environmental factors triggering tumours - usually occurs only after long exposure to a carcinogen.

viruses - HPV can cause cervical cancer
chemical carcinogens - alcohol, asbestos, soot and tar
