Types of lighting
Low key lighting-
Created by using only the key and back lights. produces sharp contrasts of light and dark areas. Deep and distint shadows. Horror
High key lighting
Uses all the lights. More filler lights like natural and produces almost no shadows but picks up the colours well. Comedies
Representations
How the filmakers choose to represent the character achetypes and thier types of messages. Descisons are being made on the projects.
Eg social values and social commentary, casting, settings
Camera
Visual codes and conventions.
