Continue with the care; this is normal
When is post mortem care done?
After death has been pronounced
The family was with the client when she died and asks to be left alone with the body. What should the HCA do?
Leave the room and close the door
Following a clients death, a family member, who doesn’t like to be touched, starts to cry. What should the HCA do?
Ask the family member how the HCA can be supportive
