What is the difference between the two types of C4 metabolism?
A
Type 1: Separates reactions by space, so C3 occurs in the mesophyll and C4 occurs in the bundle sheath cells.
Type 2: Separates reactions by time, so C3 occurs during the day when stomata are closed and C4 happens at night when the stomata open.
