What is premarital sex?
A
it is the act of having sexual intercourse before getting married

What problems could having premarital sex create?
A
- Unwanted pregnancies where the couple is not emotionally ready for a child and/or is not ready to support the child financially.
- Sexually transmitted infections which may affect the reproductive system and disrupt its functions. This could cause a couple difficulties when starting a relationship

What is abortion?
A
- termination of a pregnancy
- doctor surgically removes the embryo or foetus from the uterus

What are the after-effects of having an abortion?
A
- may cause feelings of guilt in the mother
- may lead to feelings of depression
- may also affect the reproductive system as parts of their reproductive system may be damaged. Women may have difficulty or lose the ability to reproduce again

What are some reasons for having an abortion?
A
- mother may be permanently harmed if the pregnancy continues
- child may be born physically or mentally handicapped
- unwanted pregnancy as a result of rape
- the life of the mother and child are in danger
- mother is not capable of supporting the child
- family is not financially ready to support the child
