A
The NYSE and NASDAQ close at 4 P.M., with after hours trading continuing until 8 P.M. The close simply refers to the time at which is Stock exchange closes to trading.

Buy to Cover
A
To close out your short position by buying back the shoes you sold short. The aim is to “by to cover” low. (It’s the same as buying low and selling high except the order is reversed so you can profit when stock prices fall!)
