what is Frequency table ?
- Frequency table: A table with a list of items and tally marks recording how often these items occur.
Constructing frequency table :
To construct a frequency table : 1. first sort the data into classes. 2. count the number in each class and report as the class frequency. Convert each frequency to a relative frequency : 1. each of the class frequencies is divided by the total number of observations. 2. shows the fraction of the total number observations in each class.
what is Bar chart?
A graph that shows the qualitative classes on the horizontal axis and the class frequencies on the vertical axis. The class frequencies are proportional to the heights of the bars.
It is used to compare the number of observations for each class of a qualitative variable.
what is Pie chart ?
A chart that shows the proportion or percentage that each class represents of the total number of frequencies.
It is used to compare relative differences in the percentage of observations for each class of a qualitative variable .
what is frequency distribution ?
a graph or data set organized to show the frequency of occurrence of each possible outcome of a repeatable event observed many times.
what is Histogram?
A histogram is the graphical representation of data where data is grouped into continuous number ranges and each range corresponds to a vertical bar.
