Why do you get a different picture in Manual then Auto
A
Auto mode uses:
Geographic weather Correlation
which adjusts the thresholds by geographical location LAT/LONG
Automatic Temp Based Gain
increases the gain as temp decreases to put more energy in the nonreflective thunderstorm tops
therefore in auto you get a better picture

CP - Fuel Overburns
What is the cause of the over burns
A
issue with FMS softwear calculating the descent at idle and the 787 uses slightly above idle. now fixed
Total vs Calculated - totalizer is subject to errors for acceleration (go around)
use the lowest of the two to determine your contingency plan
(dont use the get fuel after shutdown, it reverts to the Toatlizer. OFP is planned to touchdown not the gate)
