what are symptoms of bulimia
mouth sores pharyngeal trauma dental problems heartburn/chest pain oesophageal rupture impulsive behaviour - drinking, smoking, stealing muscle cramps weakness bloody diarrhoea irregular periods fainting hypotension swollen parotid glands
how would you manage bulimia nervosa
self help
CBT if self help is ineffective after 4wks
family therapy if patient is a child
fluoxetine at a high dose
what is binge eating disorder
binging without compensatory behaviour
what are the eating habits of someone with binge eating disorder
unusually fast eating eating alone eating large amounts of food uncomfortably full after eating 'buzz' immediately after eating feelings of shame/embarrassment after eating
how could you manage binge eating
CBT
high dose fluoxetine
