  1. Porches and conservatories not exceeding 30m2
  2. Detached garages not exceeding 30m2
  3. Detached buildings such as garden sheds not exceeding 30m2 and constructed of non combustible material or site 1m from the boundary

What happens when I want to start work?

A
  1. Builder notifies local council or appoints an approved inspector
  2. Building control will make necessary inspections in accordance with building regulations
  3. Building control will notify you when they want to inspect
  4. Once complete, the surveyor will carry out all necessary inspections and issue a completion certificate
