A
Systemic mycoses: Cryptococcus, Blastomyces, Coccidioides, Histoplasma, Candida, Mucor

Nystatin treats?
A
Candidiasis, but it is topical only! “Swish and swallow” for oral thrush, topical for diaper rash and vaginal candidiasis

The azoles treat?
A
Local and less serious mycoses.
- Fluconazole for chronic suppression of cryptococcal meningitis in AIDS and candida infections of all types
- Itraconazole for Blastomyces, Coccidioides, Histoplasma
- Clotrimazole & Meconazole for topical fungal infecions

Flucytosine treats?
A
Systemic fungal infections; used in combo with Amphotericin B (esp. cryptococcal meningitis)

Invasive aspergillosis, Candida
