Chain of existence that causes rebirth, everything depends om everything else

2. Remind actions take many lifetimes to work through,
3.everything has kammic value
Nirvana
Enlightenment
No longer affected by the wheel of samsara
Will not be reborn

Growth and change in the world
See through the illusion of permanence -> enlightenment

No permanent self
We constantly change
Four noble truths
- Dukkha/diagnosing problem
- Tanha/working out cause of problem
- Nirodha/realising cure
- Magga/prescribing cure

The Noble Eightfold Path/ three fold way
Is the prescription/magga
Take actions to follow the wheel, alter behaviour-> become closer to nirvana

1 pain leads to suffering (dukkha)
2 impermanence/anicca, leads to change and decay
3 Anatta/ no permanent self
Buddhahood
We are the seed to becoming a Buddha(=enlightened)
Make right effort to dissolve sense of self-importance and move towards nirvana
