Britta Flashcards
NB
Process (work on a section for 10 min. Total of 90/day.)
- Play roughly, no metronome. Figure out perfect speed, my speed (-20?), where to break into smaller sections, difficult fingering, what metronome speed to start at (slow enough I can learn to not make a mistake), noise level and rapids all highlighted, the pdf cleaned up. GRAY TO PURPLE
- Work on a section until I can play at the slowest speed flawlessly. THEN LEVEL 2
- Only when I regularly play at that speed without errors move it up 5. STAYS level 2 until a third from beginning speed to my final. Move to level four when at 2/3.
- When I get it to my speed, combine with any other sections, but don’t remove section breaks. Move it to level
- When full song is at my speed, try moving speed up by 1. If I continue regularly playing without error, keep at advanced otherwise back down 1. If I start making a regular error, take that section and down 5 until no errors and back up.
