Major development in teritary (services) and quaternary (high-tech) industries have been attracted to Bristol because of a goverment grant of £100 million to become a super-connected city with high-tech speed broadband

Urban-greening hore than 1/3 of Bristol is open space. There are 300 parks in the city
An intrgrated transport system The rapid transit Networkand electrification of the railway line to London.

Bristol produces 1/2 million tonnes of waste per year and it is amoung the worst cities on the country in terms of the amount of food waste it produces
Atmospheric pollution from vehicle emissions.
An estimated 200 people die prematurely each year in Bristol as a result of air pollution

Bristol needs new housing because of a rapidly growing population and demolition of older slum dwellings.
Why was Temple Quarter Regeneration needed?
The area was very rin down
It gave bad impression to visitors driving in from south or south-east, or arriving at temple meads railway station
