-Victorian period a railway was built linking Brighton to London. Allowed for people to go on day trips. Mass tourism and exponential population growth increased. 1841 to 1881 population grew from 15,000 to 135,000
How has industrial development made the coast grow?
Since 1970s lack of tourists in British resorts. Renovated itself as a centre for other tertiary and quaternary industries, attracting large numbers of people in the media sector.
