Takeoff (Standard)

A

Call out eighty, V1, and rotate.
Call any malfunctions.
If before V1, it will be your decision to abort. After V1, I will continue the takeoff.

Departure

A

The planned runway for departure
The routing (SID, DP, heading, or special instructions)
The initial cleared altitude
The NAV source to be used (VOR, FMS, etc.)
Any special procedure that will be used for the departure (e.g., ice protection). The Q400 QRH contains information that may be useful to review

Turn Procedure

A

A turn procedure briefing, given by the PF from the data card or Complex-Special plate, normally follows the departure briefing.

Departure Message

A

Tail number, location from airport, OUT TIME, OFF TIME, ramp fuel, and delay code.

Arrival Message

A

At least 10 min prior to landing (20 LAX): tail number, location away from airport, ETA, estimated fuel at engine shutdown, fuel requirement, MELs with extra work for ground crew, “hold” times, Flight Attendant service request.
