what are galactoceles?
A
occur in breastfeeding women, can appear following BF
- Breast milk filled cysts that occur when lactiferous ducts are blocked

what is the pathphys of galactocele?
A
Pathophys: blocked lactiferous duct and prevent gland draining milk

how would galacotgele present on examination?
A
Presentation: firm, mobile, painless lump, usually under areola

how do you manage galactocele?
A
- Usually resolve without any treatment
- Can drain with needle

what is the rare complication of galactocele and how do you manage it?
A
rare – but can become infected and need antibiotics
