A

Red/scaly lesion on the nipple - looks like eczema

What happens in Paget’s disease of the breast?

A
  • Cancerous cells in the ducts move through a pore and settle between the squamous epithelial cells on the nipple
  • This resulting inflammation brings ECF out from the breast onto the skin, which then dries and crusts
