Which structure is often compromised when cancer is present and causes dimpling in the breast?
Suspensory ligaments
Pressure from tumour can press on these and pull the skin down to cause dimpling as these ligaments connect to the dermis.
What could a patient present with if they had a mass pressing on their lactiferous ducts?
Nipple inversion
Lactiferous ducts attach to the nipple, so strain on them pulls the nipple inwards.
