how do we ivx gynaecomastia?
USS
upon diagnosis of breast cancer what do we want to know?
Receptor status
spread to axila? - Do axillary USS +- biopsy
what constitutes the tripple assessment?
clinical history + exam
imaging ; USS +- mammogram (if 40+)
biopsy
when is stagin CT indicated in breast cancer?
if tumour 3cm+
or LN involvement
most common receptor status in breast cancer?
ER +ve
HER2 -ve
when would an MRI be indicated in breast cancer?
Lobular breast cancer
in ER +ve breast cancer, what endocrine therapies should be given?
– Tamoxifen pre-menopausal, Letrozole if post menopausal)
