the executive branch
one branch of the us government is the executive branch. the president of the us is the head of the executive branch. this branch is very large so the president gets help fro the vice president and the secretary of state. one of the main roles and powers would be to enforce laws passed by congress. donald trump is the president and mike pence vice.
the legislative branch
one of the branches of the government is the legislative branch. in the house of representation is based on the number of people living in each state. there are 435 representatives in the house. each stat has 2 people to the senate so there is a total of 100 senates. one of the main roles and powers is to pass legislation (laws) and has the ability to declare war. for example Ted Cruz is the senate for texas.
the judicial branch
one of the branches of the us government is the judical branch. the judicial branch is the supreme court. the supreme court is the highest court in the us. one of its main roles being to exercise the power of justice review. donald trump has an impeachment on them just now - chief justice.
