A

Point - One political institution in the US is the judicial branch
Explain - This branch is led by the Supreme Court and the ultimate role of the Judiciary is to make sure that everyone in the US is following the laws set out in the constitution and settle disputes. It is made up of 9 judges who have been appointed to the court for life, decisions the court makes are final and can only be undone by the court itself. The president gets to pick a replacement (judge) which is very important and arguably one of the most important ways that a president will have an influence over the US
(Who is the branch led by, the ultimate role of the Judiciary, who is it made up by, decisions of the court are final, what does the president do)
Example - For example, in 2022, the Supreme Court ruled that citizens have the right to carry a handgun in public for self defence
