If something is flashed in front of the patients right visual field, can the patient verbalise what they saw?
Yes because its flashed in the right visual field which is connected to the left hemisphere which is the verbal side of the brain
If something is flashed in front of the patients left visual field, can the patient verbalise what they saw?
No because its flashed in the left visual field which is connected to the right hemisphere which isn’t the verbal side of the brain
Word flashed to the RVF - LH + physical item
The patient can both verbalise the word they saw and identify the object but only with their right hand
Word flashed to the LVF - RH + physical item
The patient can’t verbalise what they saw but they can pick up and Identify what they saw but only with their left hand
