A

-Drop in SBP >20 mmHg
-Hypertensive crisis in exercise SBP >250, DBP >110 (Stop, call the code and monitor)

A

60-100
Anything lower or higher is Brady/tachycardia
With exercise HR should increase

What is the parasympathetic stimulation of the heart?

A

Medulla oblongata- cardioinhibitory center via the vagus nerve CN X which releases acetylcholine through the myocardium
-Slows rate and force of myocardial contraction
-Causes coronary artery vasoconstriction

What is the sympathetic stimulation of the heart?

A

Also located in the medulla oblongata
-Via cord segments T1-T4- releases epinephrine and norepinephrine
-Causes coronary artery vasodilation
