BOYLE’S LAW
A
- When we breathe in the ribs move upward and outward the diaphragm flattens. This increases the volume of the lungs.
- As the volume is increased, the pressure is lower than the atmospheric pressure outside of the body.
- Air diffuses into the lungs as it moves from an area of high pressure to low pressure.
