mortality if diagnosis of acute mesenteric ischaemia is missed…
90%!!!!!. with rx, mortality is still 50-90%
what is chronic mesenteric ischaemia caused by
atherosclerotic disease of vessels supplying the intestine. aka intestinal angina!
what is ischaemic colitis
type of mesenteric schaemia. Compromise of blood circulation supplying the colon. could be thrombosis, emboli, decreased CO, shock, trauma
there is a watershed area at splenic flexure
where is pain most common in ischaemic colitis
