A GENERATOR MOUNTED IN EACH ENGINE REDUCTION GEAR DRIVE OF ENGINE 2, 3 , AND 4. THE ENGINE REDUCTION GEAR IS PROTECTED FROM POSSIBLE DAMAGE SHOULD THE GENERATOR SEIZE BY A SHEAR SECTION ON THE GENERATOR STUB SHAFT. A GEN OFF LIGHT INDICATOR LOCATED ON THE RIGHT INBOARD OVERHEAD FLIGHT STATION PANEL ILLUMINATES WITH A FAILURE OF ANY OF THE ENGINE DRIVEN GENERATORS.

IDENTICAL TO GENERATORS USED ON 2, 3, AND4 EXCEPT FOR COOLING BELL HOUSING. A GEN OFF LIGHT INDICATOR LOCATED ON THE RIGHT INNOARD OVERHEAD FLIGHT STATION PANEL ILLUMINATES WITH A FAILURE OF THE APU GENERATOR.

PRIMARY AC POWER IS PROVIDED BY TWO INTEGRATED DRIVE GENERATORS (IDGS).
GENERATORS, P8A, APU
THE APU OPERATES A GENERATOR AND CAN SUPPLY POWER TO ALL AC BUSES ON THE GROUND AND INFLIGHT.
DISTRIBUTION, P3C, SENSING RELAYS
EMPLOYED IN THE AC POWER DISTRIBUTION system to connect and control POWER TO THE BUSES. IDENTICAL AND INTERCHANGABLE AND DO NOT ENERGIZE UNLESS THE GENERATOR VOLTAGE AND FREQUENCY ARE CORRECT. LOCATED IN THE MAIN LOAD CENTER.
DISTRIBUTION, P8A, SENSING RELAYS
EMPLOYED IN THE AC POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMTO CONNECT CONTROL POWER TO THE BUSES. IDENTICAL AND INTERCHANGABLE AND DO NOT ENERGIZE UNLESS THE GENERATOR VOLTAGE AND FREQUENCY ARE CORRECT.
CIRCUITS AND BREAKERS
CIRCUIT BREAKERS ARE INSTALLED ON PANELS THROUGHOUT THE AIRCRAFT TO PROTECT THE VARIOUS ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS. CURRENT LIMITERS ARE ALSO PROVIDED WHERE NECESSARY. CIRCUIT BREAKERS USED IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ARE OF THE PUSH- PULL TYPE.
REGULATION,VOLTAGE REGULATOR AND SUPERVISORY PANEL
FOUR VR/SUPERVISORY PANELS IN THE MAIN LOAD CENTER. THEY ARE INDENTICAL AND INTERCHANGABLE. PROVIDES CONTROL OF THE GENERATOR AND CONNECTS IT TO THE BUS SYSTEM.
