NEUROGENIC SHOCK
CAUSED BY SPINAL CORD INJURY.
HYPOVOLEMIC SHOCK
CAUSED BY SEVERE BLOOD AND FLUID LOSS.
CARDIOGENIC SHOCK
OCCURS WHEN THE HEART IS DAMAGED AND UNABLE TO SUPLLY SUFFICIENT BLOOD TO THE BODY.
ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK
A TYPE OF SEVERE HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ALLERGIC REACTION.
SEPTIC SHOCK
CAUSED BY BACTERIA MULTIPLYING IN THE BLOOD STREAM AND RELEASING TOXINS.

PRODUCES REDNESS, WARMTH AND MILD PAIN
BURNS: 2ND DEGREE
CAUSES RED, BLISTERED SKIN AND SEVERE PAIN.
BURNS: 3RD DEGREE
DESTROYS TISSUE, SKIN AND BONE IN SEVERE CASES, SEVER PAIN MAY BE ABSENT DUE TO NERVE ENDINGS BEING DESTROYED.

TEMPORAL, FACIAL, COMMON CAROTID, SUBCLAVIAN, BRACHIAL(UPPER), BRACHIAL(INNER ELBOW), RADIAL/ULNAR, FEMORAL, ILLIAC, POPLITEAL, TIBIAL ARTERY.
HEAT EXHAUSTION
A SERIOUS DISTURBANCE OF BLOOD FLOW TO THE BRAIN, HEART, AND LUNGS. THE SKIN IS COOL, MOIST, CLAMMY AND THE PUPILS ARE DIALATED. PROFUSE SWEATING IS COMMON.
HEAT STROKE
CAUSED BY A BREAKDOWN OF THE SWEATING MECHANISM OF THE BODY. THE VICTIM IS UNABLE TO ELIMINATE EXCESSIVE BODY HEAT. SYMPTOMS MAY INCLUDE HOT/ OR DRY SKIN, UNEVEN PUPIL DIALATION, AND A WEAK, RAPID PULSE.
