Excld Muhammad
Ibrahim - Many people worshipped false gods, he worshipped Allah
Musa - was spoken directly to by Allah, given the Tawrah, the law, lead people to the Promised Land
Isa - sent to the Jews, who had stopped followin Musa’s law, preached for 3 years. Was taken directly to heaven, a disciple was crucified instead. Will return at the end of the World
Why Muhammad is the Seal of the prophets

What are the Five Pilars of Islam
- Shahadah - Declaration of Faith, no God but Allah, Muhammad his messenger, Shia add “and Ali is beloved of Allah”. Must be said to convert to Islam
- Salah - 5 times a day, facing Makkah and praying, washing before prayer
- Zakah - Purification of wealth, money given to anyone who needs/Good deeds if poor
- Sawm - Fasting durin Ramadan, incl Food, drink, sex and bad deeds. Brings Muslims closer to God and atones for sins. Children, pregant, travellers and sick are exempt
- Hajj - Once in their lifetime making the pilgrimage to Makkah.
What is Jihad, Greater and Lesser (6 points)
*Means Struggling, resisting
*Used to mean struggle against those against Allah - Holy war
*Greater Jihad - strugggle against oneself to live perfectly
*Loving and forgiving, detachment, women wearing hijab, waking before sunrise for Salah
*Lesser Jihad - social justice, e.g economic development, gap between rich and poor, exploitation of women and kids, society based on Islam
*Could mean armed self defence (shahida martyrs), all attempts at peace, pious leader, success, faithful soliders
Describe Akhirah (life after death)
The afterlife - day of one’s death, Day of Judgement, Heaven or hell
Life as a test - tested for Character, Reaction to misfortune, Reaction to good fortune, Way of life
Book of deeds
Day of death - Munkar and Nadir, question the dead, have records of the Book of Deeds
Barzakh - time between moment and the day of Judgement
Describe the Day of Judgement (7 points)
Only Allah knows when
Grave all open
Martyrs go to heaven
All stand before Allah the Judge
