Locate Quadrate tuberosity
Quadrate tuberosity
Locate pectineal (spiral) line (merges with medial margin of linea aspera).
Pectineal line
Locate linea aspera (medial and lateral margins)
Linea aspera
Locate linea aspera (medial and lateral margins)
One the posterior aspect of the femur.
The medial and lateral margins are more prominent near the middle or proximal end of the femur.
Locate medial supracondylar line
Found on the posterior aspect of the femur. Near the distal end. It is two prominent ridges that come from the linea aspera. It would be on the same side as the lesser trochanter.
Locate medial femoral condyle
Distal end of the femur. Same side as the head of femur and the lesser trochanter.
Medial femoral epicondyle
Bony projection the medial condyle.
Attachment for the insertion of the semi-membranosus muscle.
Origin of the medial tibial collateral ligament
