A thin membrane containing bone forming cells lines the cavity and bone
Endosteum
Compose the wall of the diaphysis and has a continuous matrix with no gaps
Compact bone
Compose the epiphysis and has thin layers of compact bone at their surface
Spongy bone
Extended portion at the end of a bone which articulates with another bone
