a spinal disorder in which an excessive outward curvature of the spine results in an abnormal rounding of the upper back. (often referred to as hunchback)

A
- sideways curvature of the spine.
- Curve is often S or C shaped.
- Most often is diagnosed in adolescents.

the excessive inward curve of the spine (often in the lower back or neck)
