Steps for drawring the Lewis’s structures

A

Step 1. Put the least electronegative element in the middle (never H), if multiple of others, then draw more of them
Step 2. Draw the valence dots around the atoms.
Step 2.5 connect the dots.
-this is a bond, a bond equals 2 electrons.
Step 2.75 CYA(Check your atoms)- octet rule.
Step 3. Stop writing and drawring
