December 1974 because it is around Christmas time which is when families tend today get together and go to places like the cinema which at the time were very popular.

GG was a 12A rating which is important that the film was released in December because it meant that more people would be able to go and see it which gives them a bigger gross. It makes the film more popular for families to go and see.

Yes because most of the women are in revealing clothes which represents submission, they also die in the films so are presented as disposable, they are being presented for the male gaze. There are 6 men and only 3 women. The men also take up more space on the poster showing that they are the more important people. They are also fully clothed and are not being objectified and following bergers theory. This is embedded with sexism and haas typical representations of both genders.

In the 1970s Chinese martial art films were very popular so to make the Bond film better they use topics from current culture.
Why is there an oil rig in the back ground of GG
- Typical of James Bond for the villain to have a secret base where a fight scene happens
- Oil Crisis in the 70s and it was a big worry at the time which would have made the film more on time and also give more worry to the audience as there is already tension around the subject.
Why is the Karate Woman in GG so much smaller than the other women?
She is more powerful and is acting not appearing but is so much smaller than the other women because she isnt as important because it is not a convention of the Bond films.
Why is there a Karate woman in the GG poster?
Because in the 70s there was a big feminist movement and to please the audience they added a strong and Independent woman.
How far does GG follow the feminist movement?
Slightly but not much. She is a part of the movement as she is acting and looks powerful but she is the only one and she is so much smaller than the other objectified women.
