Example of the calculations going backwards (from large to small)
To calculate backwards. R/A ÷ LF = Usable (or Gross) 7,200 ÷1.2 = 6,000 SF (Usable) Now with the Usable (Occupant or Gross) area you need to arrive at the Net Area Usable (Gross) area x EF = Net 6,000 SF (usable or occupant gross area) x .75 (EF) = 4,500 SF (net area/assignable area)
